Does the OR deliberately hit your birthdays / anniversaries ?

Hi All,
This is my first post. First I want to say a global thank you to everyone I've read so far. My OH and I went BR in August last year. I've only cried twice - Once at the OR interview and then again tonight when I discovered these forums. I've found some great resources in the last 12 months, but nothing to match the friendly, open, honest and sincere advice within these pages.
So back to my question. Am I just paranoid or does the OR pick dates from your personal calendar just to send you nuts:question:

Do you want to elaberate im not sure i follow (just getting my diary to see if anything clashed:o )Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
It's probably just me. With three kids and my OH that's five birthdays a year, plus our anniversary. It just seems we hear nothing for months and months then get a letter or forms within days of each family occasion. E.g. 28th May my birthday (Wednesday) and the OR writes on 30th (Friday). Now I'm starting to dread birthdays ! - On the plus side the automatic discharge should come in August.0

I doubt any OR has the time or resources to deliberatly do things to annoy you on special days.
i think what your referring to is Sods law.The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
It was the ED forms so not sinister. No I wasn't expecting them. To be honest the automatic discharge is only 11 weeks away. I didn't think they bothered with ED so late.
In any event I'd rather not see letters from the OR's office mixed in with the late birthday cards
Not that I've had so many cards this year. My family is 250 miles away and I haven't visited most of them for 14 months what with the BR and price of petrol. No chance of any inheritance now - I think anyone that would have left me money has written me out of their will for not visiting them0 -

Is there any Kudos in ED over AD? - I've posted the forms back today but if the ED process takes 8-10 weeks (which I read somewhere) that would mean I was bankrupt for 51 weeks instead or 52. Can't see what anyone would gain from that?0
