Why are regular savings accounts made with so many strings attached.

Often the higher interest rates (for savings) mean more restrictions on what you're allowed to do. It's just a way for banks to inhibit people exploiting accounts and their higher rates.0

If you were offering 7% to 12% on money deposited with you ..... wouldn't you 'string' it in your favour a bit? They're making a commercial offer which is above the 'norm, so there's going to be more stringent T&CsIf you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
