If you don't buy the BI the OR retains his interest in the property for 3 years, so if something drastic happened and house prices shot up 2 years, 11 months after BR the OR could still sell the house. However, that's unlikely!
We bought the BI so as we have all the options available, if we didn't and then ended up in the situation wher ethe house increased in value it would be really cr*p so I would rather have it covered.0 -
Well we had a court date set for 31st July but had not heard anything more from the OR despite sending in all the required evidence. So I have just rang the court and they have just told us the hearing has been cancelled! I'm obviously pleased a hell but annoyed that the OR couldn't be bothered to tell us this. I booked the sodding day off!
But the fact its cancelled outweighs the annoyance at the OR's continued lack of proffesionalism. :j0 -

I hope that means what it seems to.

Hi smiales it does sound like good news, but being the paranoid sod i am:D It does give them one month ish before your discharged if i remember correctly, would this be enough time to take it back to court if they decided too?
My only concern is them doing so without your knowledge and therefore you not being able to defend.
Im not clear on the legal proscess so if any one can confirm they cant do that i would feel more confertable, doesnt sound like your OR is very trustworthy and i like to cover all possibilatys if you get my meaning;)
Better safe than sorry as they say:D
But i do hope it means what it sounds like it doesThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

Totally agree, I don not trust our OR at all and will not remove my shoulders from up round my ears until discharge is final.
What do you mean take us back to court without us knowing? Can that happen? Do you mean for a BRO or something???blind-as-a-bat wrote: »Hi smiales it does sound like good news, but being the paranoid sod i am:D It does give them one month ish before your discharged if i remember correctly, would this be enough time to take it back to court if they decided too?

No i meant for another IPO hearing, as in they canceled it but may be to re arange it.
As you have had no confirmation that they have cancelled it because they are no longer persueing it, personally i would want to know if they have dropped it, just to be sureThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

I'm with you, all the court said was that the hearing was out as it had been dropped. At this stage I don't want to contact the OR at all for any reason but at the same time I really want to know whats happening.0 -
You may be best to leave the OR to lick there wounds, not wise to disturb a wounded beast:p :rotfl:
Fingers crossed by the way the court said it, thats it though by the sounds of it:DThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….
