My first 900 kwh.....!

thinking of changing my product with eon from standard electric

18.79 first 900
10.45 after

to there v14 protedted till oct 09

19.17 first 900
10.66


Two questions , when i sign to the new traiff do my 900 units start again ?!?!?

also , will it be in effect immediatley seeing as i am with them at the moment anyway ?

*Edited because I finally got access to the EON website.

The 900 units will be pro-rata over the whole year as a daily figure 2.46. So any new tariff will consider how many days the bill covers and then apply this formula.

number of days x 2.46 = number of days at higher rate.

This means that whenever you change tariff it doesn't effect the higher rate calculation. So if your next bill covers 87 days

87x 2.46 = 214 units charged at the new higher rate.

You have only paid using the daily formula in the past so you won't be overcharged.

Any tariff change will probably take a number of days to be applied but will be backdated to the date you applied.

any tariff change done online takes place immediately. I would recommend you do it today as the price protection tariff is rumoured to be removed tomorrow. You can always move back to the standard tariff but may not be able to get the same price protection rates available now.
