Ipod to PC

Hi I seem to have corrupted my ITunes library on my external hard drive. I now need to transfer the songs from my Ipod back to the PC after deleting the old library.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? I am running Vista. I know that there is some software available but it all looks a bit pricey.

    I've been using it for a couple of years with no issues, though I haven't tried it under vista, just XP and windows server 2003.
    Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

    Or try using YamiPod (Yet another iPod manager) here

    Ive been running sharepod as a backup/restore program for the last 2/3 yrs and not encountered any problems

    Just remember to run it independantly from Itunes or any other MP3 related programs
