Tried a new recipe today in the Bread Maker - Rustic French Loaf. Really delicious too. In fact I'm eating a huge slice right now whilst typing at the computer....
The recipe is in the Panasonic 253 booklet but basically its a mixture of Whole, Granary and Strong White flour - the texture is really nice.
Gosh my keyboard is full of crusty crumbs...hee hee.... :rotfl: ... along with all the biscuit crumbs and other food bits... mmmm I wonder if I could fit my k'board in the Slow Cooker...

Hello MiaCat
There is a recipe for making French Sticks in the booklet. The Bread Maker prepares and proves the dough for you and then you roll it out and pop it in the normal oven for 10 minutes or so. I haven’t done this recipe yet but will do so in due course… I can only eat so much bread in any given day…hee hee.The Rustic loaf I made would be best described as a very fluffy, light, airy, wholemeal loaf. I guess this is due to the recipe using a whole teaspoonful of yeast whereas many of the other recipes only use half this amount.
I’m going to try one of the Italian breads next time, something like the Ciabatta or the Onion & Garlic loaf – yummy…Good luck with your Bread Maker. The £2 Coin Savers Club = £346.00 (£300.00 transferred to Savings a/c)

I must be blind because I never spotted this recipe before!
When it says "roll up from the long end to form two sticks" does that mean doing something similar to what you'd do if making a swiss roll?
Sorry, the brain cell hasn't even begun to wake up yet this morning... more :coffee: needed me thinks
