Only experience I've had with vinyl covering is using it to make my plain glass window at side of front door look like bathroom glass (does that make sense). It worked very well and now nobody passing my door at night can see me going to/from my bedroom in various states of undress!! (Would have hated to give anyone nightmares :rotfl: )
My friend bought a second hand kitchen and painted it a buttermilky cream colour, it's absolutely stunning and she reckons the price of the paint only cost her €80 and she has enough left for the bedroom furniture for her daughters roomCredit card €7892.36/€ 0

I used to work for one of the companies that wrap London taxis in vinyl advertising. My kitchen got wrapped in American Airlines silver It did look good at first glance adn was absolutely chuffed with it at the time. I did it myself, but I'd had a bit of prior practice and watched the experts at work! It did look good at first glance adn was absolutely chuffed with it at the time. It does bubble - you have to heat it with a hairdryer as you lay and squeegy across to get the bubbles out. The other problems is that you can't really get it to look very neat on the backside of the cabinets. You can't really cut it flush with corners as it's more likely to peel at a corner so you end up with the backside of your doors a bit messy. Any stubborn bubbles you can pop with a pin, squeegy across and it's not noticeable.
As a short term fix it's super but I'm not sure how long it would really last. You can't give it a good scrub and kitchens do get greasy - you'll have to use very hot soapy water and a very light touch.
If your doors are solid wood then I would definately paint them instead. Without doubt it will last longer, look better and you can redo it easily.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
