Freeview Box to TFT Screen?

Hey all, with the upcoming Euro 2008 football tournament, I wouldn't mind watching the matches on a nice quality screen, as opposed to my crappy 15" old old tv (I'm a student!).
I recently purchased a really budget (but good) freeview box from argos (some of you may remember this particular deal) and its worked perfectly. However, I'd like to connect it to my 19" HD TFT screen.
The freeview box obviously has SCART output but the TFT screen has a VGA input only. Can I simply get a SCART to VGA converter cable and hook the 2 up together? or must I get a specific type of cable? and will it even work? and run smoothly?
Thanks very much :T

I take it a PC is connected to the tft, if so then buy a TV card for the PC like the £18 pinnacle you'll also be able to record tv with it

Maplins do a device to connect things to a monitor: -

I use a Gadmei. Do a search on eBay. There are plenty.
You can use the devices to attach a games console also.0 -
I actually use the TFT standalone to play my xbox360 with. So I have the 360 connected via an appopriate cable to the screen, and also to PC speakers, which works fine for me.
will the gadmei item work without a pc?

Most of them do. I have model 5821 connected to a monitor in the bedroom. If your freeview box is scart then you will need an adapter to convert it to S-Video. They sometimes come with this though. The 5830 on eBay looks like an upgrade of mine.
The one that Maplins is selling has a picture of the connections. This is the same as the back end of the Gadmei so I presume that is what Maplins is selling also.
EDIT: The 5820e which is 2nd hand on eBay looks the same as mine also.0 -
i got the GADMEI, lovely stuff, works a treat =D0
