Good evening everyone.
I have got some good news to share with you all. My car insurance was up for renewal at the end of this month. I have always payed monthly by direct debit. It has always been pricey too because of me being an idiot when is was "little".
This year however as I now have a clear licanse, turned 30 this year and actually shopped around for a lower quote MSE style. I have cut my premium form about £400 a year to £207 for the next year and have paid it up front this time for the first time.
That means the money will now be going into my bills account (earning me interest) to go towards next years... Good stuff.
I have been contimplating what else this can be done with that is not a monthly variable bill, the only other thing a can think of is the TV license in April... and i am going to pay that up front too. I would still rather pay my gas and elec by monthly DD.
So bar the Council tax, (which i will not have enough for this april) is there anything else i can pay up front and subsequently pay money into my bills account to cover the next years bills, then it is sitting earnign me money...????Was in debt £23k- Not now (12/07-12/10):T

Redundancies are horrible! I think the best thing to do is carry on paying off as much debt as possible, and possibly have a look and see what jobs are available just in case....0

Hi.
Not posted for a very long time but have been lurking around. Still chipping away at the debt and now realy pleased to be under £10000.
My target for Debt free paradise hasn't changed despite a few minor setbacks (more debts appearing magically!) but still fighting hard to reach OCT 2010.
We have most of the bits and bobs paid off now and will be strting to save soon to pay of the "biggie"
Good luck to all of you out there.
Cheers,
Daz.Was in debt £23k- Not now (12/07-12/10):T
