Sunscreen - cheaper in UK or US??

I was about to buy sunscreen in the Boots BOGOF offer, but i was wondering if it's cheaper to buy it in Walgreens or a drugstore in the US?

I've been in a few, but never looked at the price of sunscreen.

Any ideas??

Had a look on Walgreens site and it seems to be pretty much the same, give or take a pound or two.

Asda had 3 ambre solaire for £12 this morning. That's about comparable with Walgreens on I drive - they had coppertone aerosol spray ( which is great) for $12 or a twin pack for $15.

Not much in it really but it saves some weight to buy it there! Also, I seem to remember reading the formulations were different in America and were developed for that 'type' of sun...don't quote me on that...I read a lot of stuff...some sinks in, some doesn't!

Yeah you are right. US ones have different formulas and sometimes the UK ones can react with the chemicals in the swimming pools over there so it may be best to check with your hotel (if you are staying in one with a pool) or take a little UK one then buy the rest out there.

Highly recommend a brand called No-Ad. Have used it for a number of years now, both in Florida and here. Friends that live in Florida and Mexico swear by it. You can sometimes get it over here in Asda or Wilkinsons, in Florida I normally buy it in Publix and have seen it in various shops. I find that it is easily absorbed into the skin and doesn't have the horrible greasy feeling or the smell of coconuts.

OK, as someone who has been treated for skin cancer following my many hols to Disney, some where I've bought their sun cream, some where I've bought UK, some where I've been naughty and bought none at all. PLEASE if you are buying an American brand - irrespective of the cost - make sure it says "BROAD SPECTRUM" as this is the US term for sun creams that have UVA and UVB protection. Trust me, I speak from experience when I say its not worth saving a dollar over buying something that isn't. If you're buying here, get one with a good star rating, as well as an SPF factor.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
