Widescreen Lcd Tv Help!

Hi

I've been promising my teenager a 32" tv for months now and so finally he's used enough pester power for me to begin my search. Want to keep the price to below £400 but absolutely no idea where to start. He's needing it for his Xbox and to watch tv but not sure what techno stuff I should be looking for. I want one of those slimline ones with a screen which covers the whole of the 32" Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Try the website "trusted reviews" and it will give you the best telly's at each price point.

Tell him to get a job and earn his own money to buy it, he may change his mind about what he "needs".
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

ebuyer has alot of tvs at this price point, plenty of customer reviews of each model, which is best is probably very subjective, not sure which is best, I would say all of them will make the 360 look great, its the standard deffinition handling that will differ between them.

That price is very good for that tv. We have 2 Panny's in our house, one ours and one our sons and are really pleased with them. My son uses an xbox on his too.

Thanks for your assistance lotus but he really does pay his fair share, ie every month he pays half his top up on his phone, he's now working in a cafe to help pay towards his clothes (he doesn't mind wearing charity shop stuff either!) and he has to do housework before he gets his pocket money. I've also got him cycling to school so that I can drop out of the mum-run of cars clogging up the streets every rush hour. All in all I'd say at nearly 15 he deserves a bit of a treat! :D

Just keep in mind that a 32" TV will be too big for a lot of kids' bedrooms - need to be sat a good 6 feet from it for a decent picture...

Thanks Idio, On second thoughts, I think I'll keep it in his current playroom, then I can keep an eye on what he's watching and can't have tv on late at night, when he should be fast asleep!

I just bought a 32inch lcd toshiba with freeview included for 380 from amazon (and free delivery).

I can wholeheatedly recommend it- I just went off the back of the reviews on amazon. Failing that there are a range of similar spec tvs from various brands for around th 400 mark. And, as I mentioned, most usually have plenty of user-reviews so you can judge how good/ suitable they are.

    Good luck!
