Hi, Andy: The OH has installed quite a few showers for bungalow owning clients with mobility problems. What he has done on solid concrete floors is build a wooden frame to support the base and raise the tray off the floor whilst minimising the step up(sometimes the concrete can be chased out to create more room for the waste). He then buys PVC trim (as it is flexible) from one of the double glazing businesses at Pyson Road trading estate to conceal the bottom. He would explain it much better and have more suggestions but is working up in London at the moment. This guide might be of some help. You could also try posting on the DIYnot plumbing and heating forum for advice.

If you have a local Care and Repair available they deal with disability adaptations all the time and have technical officers who can advise you or your local Social Services department. They will also have a list of local builders who complete adaptations through the Disabled Facilities Grant process if you need someone to complete the job for you.
good luck in your quest0 -
Buy a tray with adjustable feet, and as stated the plumber can chase the floor out to sink the trap lower and use a shollow seal trap.
No need to use the supplied panels, you could use upvc/timber shirking, or tile the upstand etc.A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
