second enquiry on equifax

I applied for a loan with Tesco and when I checked my equifax file, they did a second check (folow-up) check after I sent back the credit agreement with the other documents that they needed.

Is this normal? Does it mean I will get the loans or otherwise?

Confused.

Thank you again for all your help

I would have thought they were just checking to see that your file was the same as when they initially approved you.

Some providers do this, but many more don't, according to my credit reports.

Hello, Exactly the same thing happened to me with Capital One, when I questioned it with them, they told me exactly as YorkshireBoy said, they do it if there is more than a week between their initial check and the time that you return your signed application.

This "Folow Up Check" has absolutely no baring on your credit record, other lenders won't even see it, they will only see the inital check that tesco did.

Hope this answers your question :)
