Capital One Travel Insurance

Hello,

Can anyone give me any advice on the 'Travel Assistance and Travel Insurance' that comes standard with the Capital One Card?

I'm wondering whether I should take out a separate travel insurance policy or whether I would just be doubling up my cover....

    Essentially, unless you have used your card to pay for pretty much everything for your holiday, the insurance is about as much use as a paper bikini. It also seems that they do not cover your personal possessions (they mention that they will pay the cost of sending essential items from UK to you in the event of loss or damage, but not for the replacement item itself).

    It's a nice little gimic, but I wouldn't want to have it as my only cover whilst abroad.
