Barclays Online banking problem. 2 Membership Number!!!

Ok...This will hopefully saves someone's time.
I tried to login to my Barclays online account just now but they asked me for my passcode and some letters of my password which I have no IDEA. This is because I have used pinsentry. So after looking up and down and wondering what's my passcode and password, I thought that I might be using the wrong membership number.
Oh boy, I was right. I was using the membership number on my telephone banking card. But after clicking on the forgotten membership number and using my Connect card number to retrieve it, apparently, I have a 2nd membership number!!!
I keyed in the 2nd membership number when I login and voila, they asked me for my 8 digit code using my Pinsentry machine and I will be able to login with 8 digit code.
Why I have 2 membership number is really mind boggling!!!

Similar story with me and Barclays. Before we got the PINsentry little box I just used to log in with a number then when to box came I was locked out. I phoned them and they said it was because I was using my husband’s log in details and not my own. I said I didn’t know I had my own and that it was a joint account so we both used the same details. They were horrified and made me enrol for my own details so now we have 4 lots of info one each for online banking and one each for telephone banking!0
