Credit Card Limits

Sometimes they wont increase it
That is their perogative. However, its not 100% straight to make the pledge and not to honour it. My wife isn't worried about it, the current limit is adequate for her requirements.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Do all new Capital One VISA cards always start at a £200 limit?0

Told all you sub-primer's before, if you want your credit limits to go up you need to leave some balance on each month instead of paying it off in full. While ever you keep paying it off in full you're not making them any money so they have no incentive to give you more cash to play with.
The whole point of raising your limit is not for your convenience, but so that they can earn more interest off you !!

Hmm I know where you are coming from, but I wouldn't advise paying the extortionate rates on the sub-prime cards if you can afford to pay back in full.
Once you have maintained the card in an efficient manner for 12-24 months, even paying off in full, you should be in a position to get a card with more favourable terms, hopefully offering a decent 0% period.0 -

Not in my case, I have paid in full every month and have had 2 increases in under a year. 200 -> 500 -> 1100, however I do have a lot of transactions on it which I believe makes them money.0 -
So after you had the intial increase , how long was it before they increased up to 1100?0
