Best Card to use Abroad

I am off on holiday in August, a bit of a way away but as an Abbey CC customer they pushed some advertising through my door detailing that using my Abbey card on the continent would be fee free during the summer months.

What are the best cards to have and to use abroad.

I currently have:

LloydsTSB Platinum Current account
Abbey CC (using 0%)
Barclays Plat (using 0%)
lloydstsb mastercard

nationwide CC is foreign exchange fee free on purchases all the time
nationwide debit card is foreign exchange fee free all the time

I have to agree with CLAPTON. I have a Nationwide credit card and when used abroad is a lot cheaper than others.

I think that the Post Ofiice credit card is fee free on purchases abroad as well.

The TSB debit cards are £2 a pop when withdrawing cash at an ATM and £1 for each transaction.
Don't take those!

well i called barclaycard tonight and they charge 2.75% per transaction and 2.5% for cash for use in spain on top of that i would be subject to their exhange rates
