HBOS shares

  • In some respects, I think the critical part is hbos has more involvement with mortgage debt both here and in america. I'd back RBS over HBOS in the long run for sure, this is their first loss in fourty years apparently
  • Am I the only one who's thinking: What's with all the YouTube links?
  • As posted in another thread, but may be more appropriate here.

My girlfriend currently has a sharesave scheme with the bank of scotland. She got her shares for £5.08 when they were worth quite a bit more than that. She has about £1000 saved already, the first set start to mature next year but the current share price has plummeted to around the £3 mark. She can withdraw the money she has put in at any time and will recieve interest on any money saved for over a year. Would it make sense to withdraw this £1000 and buy the shares at £3 or keep them in untill the end of the plan and pay the £5?

    Thanks
  • You'd be presuming the share price would be higher later and I'd agree with that. Sounds like a bit of a strange scheme that stores the cash like that, when the same company lets you buy shares for 1.50 each every month. Have you got a link for it
  • another + day for hbos. 4.25p to 335.75p

Is the clever money now going into the banking sector?
  • They might fall back, FNM is looking poor. It only takes some bad news and theres plenty of that out there but Ive decided to hold anyway

Crude oil is still going down, if that should reverse it might upset the recent recovery. Ive no idea on currencies but theres probably a trend to follow there also with a strong influence on these fragile shares

Does anyone know of a table of shares out on loan, shorted shares. I know info like that is available in america
  • With RBS and HBOS now up 66% and 50% from the lows respectively it has truely shown up the idiots on here who told people to sell their stock and not to take up the rights issues as the FRAUDS that they are.

Another success by myself and a few others for highlighting a few idiots and doing a public service by spreading the airwaves with a little sprinkling of common sense.

Not to mention making myself another fortune :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Firstly yanty you promised not to come back on this thread. So your word is obviousy worthless. Secondly, I advised selling HBOS shares when they were £5 or £6 having fallen from over £10. You would obviously be telling people to buy at that point and if they listened to a joker like you they'd have done their conkers big style. Your alleged profits are merely in your fertile imagination. Yanty, you could get a job in the circus along with Coco :rotfl:
