Have we established yet that the rights issue is not worth it?0 -
I disagree with just about everything that setmefree says (as I am sure he will acknowledge that he disagrees with just about everything I say! :-)) but some of Earlgrey's posts are way over the top.0

Yes Tozer i would say it's a case of agree to disagree, with regards to earlgrey's posts,i think he/she is bang out of order.
Any one who now buys shares does it at their own risk, personally i wouldn't touch them. IF the Government has to step again with another Bank failure, then in my view shareholders should not be compensated from public funds just because their share price has collapsed, and they certainly should not be able to take the matter to court..they knew the risks and have the opportunity to pull out at any time.;)0 -
Setmefree obviously relishes the falling share price, hence his use of the rolling laughter emoticons. He gains nothing from it, other than a perverse satisfaction. I wouldn't mind betting he is a short fellow.0

You may not realise this "setmefree" but historic share prices are readily available on a variety of web sites.
Just a brief comment on HBOS though, I think its ironic that they are having to bail out B&B. Who is going to bail out HBOS when the time comes?0 -
