Audacity lets you increase the speed of your recordings. It's free to download if you haven't got a copy.0

I have tried increasing speed on windows media but it does not improve sound i cannt make out the other persons voice its muffled. I cant understand how this has gone wrong as the others have worked well. could it be that I had the microphone to close.0

Windows Media Player is rubbish compared to a proper sound application. Have you tried using Audacity? here
Definitely nothing to do with the microphone being too close! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
what did you record with by the way? Windows sound recorder?Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0

Yes windows sound recorder and a labtec 333 which worked well last time
Is there anything i can do to pick up what the other person is saying as the information was important advice. I have speeded it up on windows media player and can make out what i am saying but my voice is so deep I sounds like when they discuise voices on tv. If i could only enhance other voice a bit. it is very muffled. I recorded this conversation from my phone on speaker phone could this have caused the problem.0 -
Has anyone got any ideas of how I can improve this recording so I can hear it?0
