Deleting Micromedia Flash Player 9

Hi folks.

I will try and make a long story very short. I have a forum that's very new and we have an arcade that came with it. Things were right for most of us when submitting the scores but it has soon starting to go wrong. We noticed those that had Micromedia Flash Player 9 were those having the problems submitting scores. Now one of the Admin has looked into it and woked out that those with the version 8 don't have any problems.

I had to buy a new laptop a few weeks ago and it loaded Micromedia Flash Player 9 and now I can't submit scores

2 of our members have tried to remove version 9 and their computer won't allow it. What I would like to no is, is there anyn way of removing/deleting Micromedia Flash Player 9 and download version 8?

You might have to have a look at the arcade youselves, depending on what flash player you have, ans if you can or not submit scores.

If you have no idea what the problem is, or how we can reomve the 9 version, maybe you can look at the site, here http://tll.ipbfree.com/index.php?

Before anyones screams 'NO LINKS' I'm looking for help, not members. But if you want to join, feel free ;)

Many thanks in advance :o

I really wouldn't encourage your users to downgrade to a previous version. There's more than just new features as new versions of things are released, they also plug security holes.

If there's a known security issue with flash v8, and there's a known incompatibility between the more secure flash v9 and your games, then it stands to reason that someone would target your users.

All it would take is for someone to go over there and post a link to a site with content that would exploit the security hole in v8, and they're guaranteed to find some victims.

Your best bet would be to see if there's an updated module for the forum/arcade that fixes the problem, or check the support forum for the forum/arcade software you're using, to see if they can shed any light on the problem. You might be able to help them fix it.
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
