Hi elaine,
There's an earlier thread with some suggestions for cooking heart that may help so I've added your thread to it to keep the ideas together.

Hello,
I bought one of these on my last trip to the meat wholesalers.
Only £1.49 and it's huge, but how on earth do I cook it?
I've read you can roast it, but do I need to prep it first in any way?DEBT FREE! Sep '08/£9,800 in Oct '06 :beer:0 -

Thanks!
took ages to cut all the fatty casing off but loads of lovely meat when I did.
Marinated it in olive oil and herbs then dipped in flour and fried.
Added to marinade and rest of flour to make a gravy.

When we kept a pig, we were keen to use as much as we could. Faggots used the heart, and were quite scrummyI used a H F-W recipe.
