Hi guys
I was hoping for some advice with a warranty issue that has arisen. I bought a WD hard drive off Ebay some months ago and it developed clicking noises etc. I ran their SMART disk monitor which advised me the hard drive was going to fail and to return it for warranty. I obtained an RMA, returned it as instructed and received a confirmatory email when it was received by WD, which was meant to be followed by another email when it was sent to their 'service centre.'
Unfortunately, this was more than three weeks ago and I not heard anything from them since. Their website advises that returns should take 5-10 working days from receipt to process. I have emailed their online support twice and have received no reply, despite their claim that 'all queries are answered within one working day'. I would really appreciate some advice on what to do from here, it was a 250Gb hard drive and although I managed to save most of my data, my laptop/iPod/memory sticks are completely full now while I wait for this hard drive to be returned and I can ill afford to buy a new one.
Thanks

Have you checked the current status of the RMA?
