Hi
I'm having problems with using a mouse with my laptop the laptop is quite new with vista but i have tried different mice and its so jumpy and and just wonders all over the screen altho works fine with my desktop! is there settings i need to change on my laptop or maybe a fault with the laptop? can anyone help

Are you using it on the same surface or on a different desk etc? Surface you're using it on can affect it greatly.
Other than that it sounds a bit weird, if it's USB have you tried it in another USB port on the laptop? If not try looking for Vista updated drivers for it, could simply be that.
Lastly is your touchpad on the laptop clean? I mean spotless, there may be a setting in the BIOS or in Windows for the mouse that when one is plugged in the touchpad doesn't work - this sometimes help reduce jumpiness in mice.0 -
Yes tried different USB slots no different how do you turn the touchpad off as will give this ago?0
