Speedferries (cheap Dover to Boulogne car ferry) to put prices up loads next week

A disclaimer; I am nothing to do with Speedferries, just a happy customer of several trips who can't believe how ridiculously cheap taking a car from Dover to Bolougne is compared with other methods (I mean, for something more than a day trip, where ferries normally penalise you...ouch! I took the car and 3 people to France last JULY for 5 days for £38 return, and that was at peak time!)
Here's an email I got from them:

As I say, nothing to do with them, but first heard about them from Moneysavingexpert, so just keeping people up to date!

So, if you're planning a car trip and you know when you're going, go and have a look before the end of Monday....the world has experienced yet another dramatic rise in the cost of fuel. The environmentally friendly diesel used by SpeedFerries has been affected the most and we are now looking at a scenario whereby the price is more than twice that of last year and 2007 was in itself a year of extreme oil prices. Although for some time SpeedFerries absorbed this increased cost there is really no alternative but to pass on a proportion of this cost to our customers. On Tuesday, SpeedFerries will have to implement a substantial increase on all ticket types on the Dover-Boulogne service. Although this will mark a new higher price level I ask you to please continue your support for our ferry company.
