Last week I was looking to buy a fridge freezer. I liked the Hotpoint FF200EG. Saw it in Currys store £369 and searched price online (I posted here asking for discount code). I needed a 10% code to bring it down to Dixons price (including delivery) but didn't get a code so ordered with Dixons.

Today in the newspaper I see 10% off all free standing fridge freezers. So I check on line if I would have saved with Currys. Today the price is £449 with 10% off making it £404. Not much of a sale when it costs you and extra £35. :(

I bought it in Dixons for £330 including delivery.

    On Thursday when I ordered the fridge freezer in Currys (store and online) was £369. On Saturday advertised in the newspaper 10% off all fridge freezers - only thing is it wasn't 10% off the £369 they had increased the price to £449 so it was more expensive in their "sale" that 2 days earlier!

    My post was a warning to those who were tempted by the Saturday newspaper advert.
