any1 know of a program to use to edit or rip sections of a wav file?

If as I suspect you are trying to make ringtones, then Windows Sound recorder (Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment) will do the job nicely.0

thanks but surprisingly no i'm not. I need to edit some dictation i made on my mp3 player.0 -
Use audacity in that post I did excellent for doing dictation and it has a
spectrogram look so you can see what you are cutting, editing,
if you wanna save it as mps3 you will need the lame dll, if you email me
I can send it to you unless you want to hunt it down.
And I shall give you some instuctions if you want.
