Please Help Re Parcel Force Tracking Number *Updated*

Hello,

I sent a parcel by parcelforce 48 last Saturday, and I have the post office receipt but it's got no tracking number on it, if I ring the post office, will they have the tracking number??

(needless to say the parcel hasn't yet shown up - should have been collected from PO on Tuesday)

i've never sent anything by parcelforce 48 through the post office before.

does it definitely say parcelforce 48 on the receipt?

Hi, yes it definitely does, I've never sent via them either, but the buyer said I should have got a red slip with the tracking number on it, all I have is the receipt and they buyer says the parcel hasn't arrived

Try the post office first. If that doesn't work you need to speak to someone at a Parcelforce depot who can check for you. The best way of doing that is to go into your nearest depot, you'll get better advice from the person there than phoning their customer services. You should also suggest your buyer goes into his/her nearest depot too as the chances are its waiting there for them, its going to be difficult without the tracking number though.

For future reference I suspect it would be cheaper to use Parcelforce through Paypal and you get all the numbers sent to you and the buyer (you can still drop off at some post offices). There are cheaper Parcelforce resellers around too, but they don't link the tracking details to the item which an be an advantage to some sellers.

Thanks, I feel so stupid!! I would rather send by courier but never done that before and I don't work from an specific place to be to have it collected. Will ring the post office and parcel force tomorrow and see what they say

RFW Thanks for your help, parcelforce gave me the tracking number via the postcode of the receiver and the parcel wasn't processed until yesterday!!!! But at least I can track it now
