I know my problem that they dont offer me a flex account because I have been living in my permanent address just one year. It need to be 3 or more in the UK . Can I tell them my grandmother address for the previous address but I don't have prove that I have lived there before because I haven't open bank account or doing any self payment from that address. What can I do ?
PS I have registered online which it offered me a flex account already but It said that in 5 working days they will contact me for prove of id and said that may be request prove of previous address which I don't have one.
Now, I have Maestro, Solo and Master card . Most bookies require VISA so I consider to have one which I prefer Nationwide
flex visa debit card from what I have read here. Today I went to the bank and ask for it they get me to the computer but to the last computer said they can't offer me a flex account which the girl banker said probably because I haven't been living in UK long enough or something else.
I am a student, 21 years old and came from Thailand but I have British Citizen because I was born here I have been studying here for one year and start doing match beting since January now I am 2000+ profit.
SO I would like to ask people here that which bank suit me to available for me tp do VISA card for good currency exchange like Nation wide visa debit card.
Thank you for every help guy I know you guy are kind people.:A

If Nationwide are not prepared to offer you this type of account then most other banks will give a similar answer. Did they offer you any account at all (any VISA card is better than none)? Are you on the electoral register? That could be why they refused you. Did you ask them why they said no?0

A lot of Visa cards will charge you 2.5% for deposits as they treat them as a cash advance. I think the only card that is good for exchange rates is Nationwide. Barclaycard are not good on exchange rates but don't charge the 2.5% fee for bookies so they are the best of a bad bunch. It may be your best option and you would still make a profit even with the forex charge.
I would suggest you go for Moneybookers or Neteller if you can. Moneybookers is best for exchange rate deposits. Well done on the profits and hope this helps.0 -

At your main bank/s, where you already have the Mastercard etc, ask them to switch you to a VISA. Nationwide is the only UK high street bank that offers the 0% commission on foreign currency. All the others rip you off, but I don't know if the amount varies. I deposited 200 euro to a bookie from Lloyds this week. The actual rate at the time showed as £157 and Lloyds charged £166.0

I've always had a Visa from Lloyds, since I was a student.
Seems to be HSBC and NatWest that deploy the less useful cards.0
