    i think she has been influenced by others around her without knowing anything about "common law". i think she may be slightly out of her depth with this one.

    Tell him to sit tight, he's got an assured tenancy which is worth it's weight in diamonds. If he moves out into private rented accommodation he will only be given a six months tenancy, which may be renewed each six months or he could be given notice to leave which could mean he might find himself having to move every six months.

    They give the same rights as marriage but they are only for same-sex couples so she's out of luck there! ;)
