Hidden Charges

I have just had a bill from british gas for my electric bill on hidden charges for my pre payment meter. I had a pre payment meter installed on 5th April 2006 and left them on 31st March 2008. I wasn't told i would be charged for using my meter which was in the terms and conditions which you have to ask for by the way so a british gas customer service operator has just told me. I was Charged 17.69 a month for using my key on top of the electric i payed for. For the months between April 2006 and march 2008 so after i left them i had a total bill for 407.53 they say i still owe them. A big bill for something i wasn't told about. And here was me thinking it would be cheaper to change from british gas. Beware of british gas.

I'm sure people with prepayment meters will be interested in your post; however perhaps you could reduce the font size a little for future posts as it makes it easier to read.;)

Hi sherol. Sorry, please don't think I was being patronising - I was just in a funny mood. Its friday afternoon after all.

You could try contacting the citizens advice bureau to ask assistance from them. Good luck with everything.

British Gas are one of the suppliers NOT charging for debt on a meter unless the meter was fitted for debt which has not been paid off. I believe there is another problem here and I would advise you to look into it.
