I'm tempted to get one from SterlingXS.co.uk has anyone used them?
Or does anyone know of any fab bargains? What I need is:
Light, at least <3kg.
good battery life.
CDRW
what I would also like is:
WAN
DVDRW
Need to spend less than 500 squids altogether.
Thanks for any suggestions

I've got a refurbished IBM Thinkpad 600E. The lappie itself is fine, but be warned....the battery is awful. Will not hold the charge at all. Have only just got it (a freebie from my brother:D), but have been googling the batteries, and it seems it's a common problem. If you get one of these.....expect to buy new batteries.0

I would buy a new one for under £500, laptops go out of date very quickly.
And, as mentioned above, the battery is bound to be buggered, and you would only have to spend another £100 getting a replacement!0
