there's a lot of hotels in Brum these days , although more closer to Broad st

Suppose closest to the station would be

Brittannia likely within your budget, seems fairly OK

Albany ( or whatever the current name is) have been known to do a deal on prices

Burlington - close and should be nicer ( not stayed there for years) might be higher
www.uk.laterooms.com is a good source for prices - then check on actual location

Copthorne is 4* and have some good rates at weekends - not that far from station either

If you want close to station - avoid those further up broad st , Hagley rd or Edgabston - they often still show up as Birmingham Central

The JD Wetherspoon hotel, the Briar Rose, is nice and 2 mins walk from New St. Room there is £40 someting pound a night. Or if you are staying after October then the Etap hotel is a 5 minute walk and will be finished end October.

Days Inn at the Mailbox is also cheap and cheerful 5 mins walk away.

Or Ibis at Arcadian the list goes on any more info needed just ask.
