Charity 140 mile bike ride

Hi,
Next weekend, myself and 28 workmates have agreed to cycle 140 mile from workington to Newcastle up and over the lakes and pennines.
We are raising much needed funds for cancer research uk.
I was hoping someone could tell me how I could contact the likes of lucozade or a water company who would be willing to spare us a crate of bottles for the ride as a good will gesture.
The main contact for the ride is my good friend colin and his justgiving page is
www.justgiving.com/piespiespies but please don't remove the post as I'm not asking for sponsorship just advice.
kind regards
Chris

Don't know about Lucozade or water companies, but if you keep it local, you might find your local supermarket will do so. They all have different policies, but if you can spare the time to go into a few and ask, and follow it up with a letter to those who didn't say "company policy is to support X charity only" then I would be surprised if you didn't get something.
Especially if you can get them (and you) some coverage in the local paper, handing it over before you set off.Signature removed for peace of mind0
