Hi,
Hope this is the right board...does anyone know of a good digital camera. I'd like to spend about £60 - £80, something not too flash, I'm not the best technically so too many buttons an options will be confusing, but it needs to have good quality pics.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I went for the Canon Powershot A560 from Argos which on the internet costs £79.99 (in-store £99.99 - although I reserved online and THEN went into the store to collect it)
There are some good review on Amazon.co.uk for this camera.
7.1 MP and 4x Optical zoom....its not pretty (quite big and bulky) but does the job really well.

If you're a party animal - or do quite a bit of evening or low light pictures, fuji is the way to go on the cheaper end of the market.
I've got an canon, and it takes great pictures, but when the light is not there the photos are crud, and this is the same with most digital cameras.GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

yes will be used primarily in the evenings, do you know of a good fuji model please?0

I know I use mine in more low-light situations than I ever thought - office party and evening events.
Here is one with flash from about 8:30 yesterday eve with flash. notice the back is getting dark but still fairly light, lighter than the inside of the majority of places
This is the one with them on the dance floor in low light bar. I thought I's get some detail and knew it would not be great, but did not expect poor quality. http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2vtwn46&s=3
Also as the light is less, camera shake is more pronounced, producing more blur on the photos

My younger sister uses this camera and she said it takes very good pictures. It feels really cheap though to be honest but I agree, the photos it takes are very goodLBM - 30/07/09
