Is it worth capping for only 18 months?

I'm in East Midlands and currently with EON on their dual fuel Energey online tariff. From the comparison sites doesn't look like I save much at all by switching so I've been looking at the capped rates, trouble is the best one available to me is E-On's and it only caps until Oct 09 - is this still worth it?

Well, it's up to you, but with another price hike about to be announced and perhaps others afterwards, you may well be advised to get onto a capped tariff now. Not sure why you think 18 months is a short period of time for a utility price capping deal

Helpful thanks. I didn't think 18months was short it's just that Martin's article refers to capping for 2-3 years so I was nervous about this one only being 18 months.
Think I'll go for it though!:j Go on, shake your money maker! :j0 -
