Thanks. OH called Direct Line and they confirmed insurance last night, so now covered (although the annual cover for me and OH doesn't cover horse riding, scuba etc...)

OH just booked cat into local cattery for our break next week and the summer holiday too, but will confirm tomorrow once she's visited.

Mortgage interest - well I am a bit puzzled; over recent months it is shown on 17th of the month, so I expected it to be listed from close of business Monday 18 May.... but nothing is listed presently. Have I managed a month with £0.00 interest charged? Guess it'll be clear in a day or two

Funds in our ISAs are still improving just down to a 22.3% loss now :T, although there's the old adage "sell in May and go away" in terms of stockmarkets and talk of whether we're seeing a "dead cat bounce" at the moment or not... if it is a recovery in the markets / the bottom of the market (Bloomberg streams live as I type this) then it will be good, but being selfish it would be great to have a further flat year so I can get more units cheaply before things recover but it seems things will be picking up now - so thankfully we've continued to invest over the past year :o just wish we could have invested more and stilled OP-ed to the same extent :D

Long term holdings are being promoted and for us the 30%+ growth in the amounts we've put in since November are simply covering some of the losses for the units bought in the earlier part of the year. We're in these for the long term. That said, the graph for our funds' values and the corresponding curve for the reducing losses is lovely to see!

Credit card bill for £7500 as of last night is set to pay on 10 June, hoping I'll only need to draw about £2000 from savings to cover this which would mean we have absorbed £1500 of the holiday cost in this month. Obviously no savings this month!

Well I think we may have had our first interest-free month on the mortgage as still nothing is listed on the account :j:j:j:j

I've also added a further line to the graph in our Funds ISA plots to show the monies actually invested. These crossed the value of the investments in May 2008 and continued to deviate, moving strongly in August 2008. However since the middle of Feb the Funds have increased in value by £3200 whilst we have invested £900 in that time and so the value line is rapidly closing in the investment line. Watching to see when it hits net zero and positive growth again; but won't try to predict that!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Congratulations. I'm not quite understanding offset mortgages but this sounds great - well done.
