    Hear hear!:T

Hi Stuart , hope Mrs StuartGMC is on the mend. Illness and injury (and car failure!) blow the best laid plans out of the water.

PS You mentioned in your post about subscribing for Money Observer. Is it for the articles or for the performance tables?

I was interested in the magazine articles primarily as I usually access iii or Trustnet on the performance tables/comparisons; but that said, Money Observer tabulations in Jan edition were very useful in assisting the planning. I think subscribers also get access to the online edition, which could be handy when I'm away on business. Thought to try it with the £1 for three issues then the discount thereafter, the cost being allocated to my "training" necessary for the next stage after MFD. Overall it seemed better than Moneywise in terms of specific content, much in the latter seemed easily accessible online (comparisons etc). Horses for courses, though.

Glad to hear your wife is better. Sometimes work just has to come second and it was nice that your DD managed to help you out.

I know you are quite good at OWA Outlook so a quick question if you don't mind. When you work offsite on your laptop are you able to see other peoples diaries? I cannot get that to work only when I am in the office. Sorry to bother you I know you have a lot on your plate but this is really annoying me.

TG to quote our DD "I thought mum would be well once she was let out of hospital!" - currently lung capacity is still only 2/3 normal, and she is signed off work for a further week, on steroids etc. Also no clear and unequivocal diagnosis yet, still has to go to treatment unit, so it will be a long-term recovery I think.

Well markets have been up for 10days, and this has helped our S&S ISAs so this means with OH pay in we are nicely net positive even allowing for the credit card bill which will be generated on Thursday :j

Just need to build now to cover holiday major payment and minor things like OH's road tax this month etc.

Mustn't complain, things are looking slightly better overall, although we need to see out this year and Q1 2010 in my opinion before we can see major upturn; at least that gives us loads of time to pound average the units we purchase each month.

I think you can "see" them if you create a meeting request? I know I can't see my staff's inboxes over OWA, I have to use the terminal server option.

I'll be away soon so will try to have a look

Well, we had a local chap round to look at the oven (the element failed in the fan oven about 2 weeks ago) and he also looked at the fridge, result:

    1) Oven £75 and now working with new element
    2) Fridge "never in 17yrs seen one fail that way" was confirmed as loss of refrigerant and thus the fridge is not repairable....

So OH had done some initial checks then I looked after work for replacement fridge to fit the space etc. Eventually opted for one via Boots (of all people), used TopCashBack plus Boots card to help a little with the purchase (about £418 inc disposal of old one), but it should arrive Friday and will just miss (I hope) credit card bill being generated today.
