Withdrawing money and paying for items online?

Hello, just a quick question.....The daily withdrawing limit at my bank is £250,I plan to take this out today to pay bills ect but then I also want to pay for up to £100 worth of items online......I know this may appear to be a silly question but can all this be done in one day as it'll take me over £250? Or does that just mean I can't take more than £250 of an atm but can spend as much money as I like online?(well all £100 left of it:rotfl: )

you can take out £250 and then do your online payments - think of it like this - if you had a SO or DD for £100 and you wanted to take out £250 on the same day you could do both

The £250 limit applies only to cash withdrawal via a machine. Using your card online counts as a "purchase" and you will not be affected by the cash withdrawal limit. As far as I know, my HSBC Switch card does not have a limit for spending (as long as I am within in my overdraft limit) but daily cash withdrawal limit for my card is set to £300.
  • Thanks people.amatuer question I know I just wasn't sure, better to be safe than sorry!

You can always take out £250 a day and then use your card for any limit (so long as you have cleared funds in your account) to pay for anything by card.
