Interesting.
Yes its true KwikFit are notorious for exagerating. I once got a free MOT, and they recomended enough repair work to send every mecahnic to Florida for a few weeks R&R. I went to another garage, with the same car, and passed the MOT without a single problem.
On the other hand, I've had work done that's been fine.. and reasonably priced.
As long as I insist on just getting replacement pads, and refuse to do any other work, then I suspect I'll be fine.
I expect most people just trust them and do the recomended work. But with my automatic, and city driving, I'll be getting through pads every 18mo, and that's not cheap to replace on my car.
