I went on Holiday with a 10 month old and on the way there the worst thing i did was when they call parents with children to get on first. I had to sit there for about 40 mins whilst everybody else boarded got their luggage sorted around me knocking my daughter, it was a nightmare. On the way back my husband got on with all our hand luggage, found our seats stored everything away except for a few choice books, toys and i got on last with our daughter and it was fantastic. Have fun.0

Hi
Had another thought might be worth checking with the hotel if they have baths in all there rooms. If not would be worth thinking bout something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mothercare-Inflatable-Baby-Bath_W0QQitemZ280231088968QQihZ018QQcategoryZ20395QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemEveryone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Don't panic, it always sounds like you need a million things when common sense prevails you can minimise this dramatically. The pop up cot is a great idea as I would never recommend the cots they supply in the resorts (although never had any problems myself but we are talking 12 years ago for the youngest). Cartons for the milk are by far the best idea, however with the amount you will need this will have to be purchased out there as it would take your entire bagagge allowance. I would not recommend the car seat as most of these countries do not have fitting for them or space. So I would definately recommend a light buggy instead. Comes in so handy at night when sitting in a restaraunt and baby tired - ready bed (left mine in their buggy if they were comfy). You can cut the cost of nappies during the day by letting baby lie under a parasol with no nappy. The breeze does them great but remember lots of boiled water.(not sure they recommend bottled for babies - been a while). All these countries are so geared up for having kids around it doesn't matter if everything is not perfect, you wont be judged out there. It is only in this country children are second class citizens. Enjoy your time away. They will probably give you an extension belt for your lap on the plane that locks into your main seat belt.0

Hi just a quick update on how our planning is going.
We have decided to take cartons of milk. Heavy and expensive but at the end of the day there has been confusion regarding what water is safe to use so we have decided to play it safe with the cartons. Even the doctor and health visitor advised us different one saying ok to use local water one saying ONLY Evian bottled water.
We are not going to take a travel cot we are going to use the one provided by the hotel but with out own bedding, we have also bought a mozzie net.
We are taking enough nappies for a couple of days while we sort some out over there.
As far as prams go we are taking the in-laws which is quite big to be honest but can be laid flat and if it does get thrown about in the hold of the plane wont be the end of the world. Unfortunately our daughter is a little too young to go in the cheap and lightweight buggy type prams.
She is chewing her fist and dribbling a fair bit now and it looks like the may be a tushy-peg or two very close to coming through so we have stocked up on bongela/calpol ect too just in case.
Thanks,
Pete.I'll get me coat!0
