With all the doom and gloom on house prices, energy bills, food costs, petrol costs, consumer confidence blah blah blah ……is there any good news out there?
I mean, Pompey won the FA cup which was understandably fantastic, but is there anything else to celebrate?

My landlady has had an offer on the house I'm renting. The survey is being done on Tuesday. It's been on the market for 3 weeks.
On the other hand, there's NOTHING currently available for me to rent (fixed term on AST ends in August)Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

The good news on house prices is that at last younger people may have more chance of getting on the property ladder.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

And older people. It's not just the young who have had trouble buying. There are plenty of people in their 30s, 40s, 50s who would love to have bought but missed their individual boats... maybe now their figures can stack up differently.iolanthe07 wrote: »The good news on house prices is that at last younger people may have more chance of getting on the property ladder.
House prices going down is NOT doom and gloom. It's the shoots of recovery for a better future.0 -

Interesting as having lived here for nearly a year, I wouldn't have paid much more than £250k for it. But it was on for £300k and has an offer within 3 weeks
Varies from one region to another, I guess

Which area are you in?RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
