My daughter is with Scottish Power and is eager to switch after watching Martin on GMTV. However, what happens to the amount outstanding on her bills. As she pays by direct debit there is always a debit following winter and then it levels itself off over summer. If she were to swtich now would the debt be transferred or will she have a further amout to pay each month. She is on benefits so she wants to apy as little as possilbe.
