Off track I know, but has anyone had problems shutting down the game. Once it closes,it takes 3 or 4 minutes to do anything else on the computer. My computer is more than adequate to play the game (3ghz pentium),and wonder if this is normal.0

Oooh you've got me worried now. I've just bought this game but haven't had a chance to install it yet as I've been decorating (my real house not a Sim one) Maybe it's a bug in the game that will need patching, have a look on a few Sims forums online and see if it's a common problem. Then, when you've sorted it I'll have a go at installing mine!!0

Update...I opened the box to install Nightlife which it seemd to do OK, haven't tried it yet. I was reading the booklet!! Yes, I know that's not allowed and on page 5 it mentions vampires and how Sims can turn into one if they stay out all night. The way to let them recouperate is in a coffin!! Could this have happened to your lady? Maybe you had better buy her a coffin and read page 5 to see how to cure her. Best of luck.0

i am reliably informed by my helpful niece that carol_a is correct - either you are now a vampire and must get your self a coffin for nap times, or it could be your objects - did you download objects from anywhere other than eagames - if so, public made objects often have hacks built in which tweak bits of the game. If thats so, then you'd need ot uninstall those objects.0

Oooh carol_a i hadnt thought of that!!
I didnt have a chance to get on MSE over the weekend, so i stupidly got rid of my sim lady and started a new one, but she wouldnt sleep either ARGH!!
So i got my bf to uninstall all objects that we had downloaded and so far it seemed to be working.......until for some very bizarre reason, my Sim is stuck in the toilet and my maid wont stop cleaning the fish tank
There is something very wrong with my Sims!!!!!
So i am now having to use the cheat moveobjects_on to delete the maid and take my Sim in and out of the bathroom by hand when she needs the loo/shower !!!!:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0 -

This thread is sooooo funny
My son is a big Sims fan and hinted to me about getting this new Nightlife one for xmas for him, but would it be suitable for a 13 yo, or is this more of an adults version? LOL!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It is that what you do, good or bad,
will come back to you three times as strong!

Personally I think that sims is fine for a 13 yo. The most racy thing in the game is being able to 'woohoo' in photo booths downtown. But then the original sims 2 game allows you to 'woohoo' in changing booths (when buying clothes). Other than that it introduces cars, vampires, restuarants, clubs / discos, ten pin bowling, and 'dates' to the game. They do also add 'fury' to the game. If one sim is wronged they'll be furious with the other sim for a while.
If you want to research some more you could find some reviews by googling, or you could go through some of the posts on the official forums (thesims.eagames.co.uk and thesims2.ea.com)Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
