Not a good day today. First of all I woke up and discovered that I had no milk left for breakfast. Duh. So no breakfast at home. Bought a latte at the station as I was hungry & the train was running late - £1.95 down the drain. Then I bought a fancy greek yoghurt/compote thingy as a 'proper' breakfast when I got to the other end - another £2 or so down the drain. Then it got to lunchtime. I was supposed to be having lunch with a friend but she cancelled at the last minute. So instead of going out and buying something *very* cheap and saving my pennies for another day (hadn't brought a packed lunch as I thought we were going out) I invited a colleague to the pub and came back £8.20 poorer. On the way home this evening I walked home past several pubs full of happy people enjoying a night out with their friends, which just rubbed in the fact that I have very few friends and am quite isolated socially so never get to do that kind of thing. I then spent most of this evening looking at dating websites and feeling utterly depressed at the complete lack of people who share my interests/values/ideal lifestyle. And then I remembered that even if I spotted someone on a website and we started a relationship they'd just end up deciding that I'm the loveliest, sweetest person they've ever met and would dearly like to keep me as a sisterly confidant but they don't actually want a romantic relationship with me. And now I'm here posting on an internet forum because I haven't got anyone to ring up randomly for a chat. Oh, and judging by just how bloody miserable I'm feeling I suspect I may well have a bad dose of PMT coming on!!!! Don't you just love life?0
