Win a picnic blanket (like the one in the Waitrose tv advert – only smaller)
You could win a picnic blanket (150mm x 200mm) made using the same material as the one featured in our television ad. The blankets have been made in Melin Tregwynt, an ancient woollen mill in North Pembrokeshire, Wales. The mill combines traditional craft with contemporary design.
The blanket used in the television advert was the size of four tennis courts and weighed one tonne! It is no surprise that it has been certified for a Guinness World Record as the largest picnic blanket in the world.
The blanket used in the advert was sent to Westfalia Farm, one of the Waitrose Foundation farms, and cut into more than 500 quilts and then given to crèches across our Foundation farms in South Africa.
There are 30 picnic blankets to be won, and the closing date for the competition is 7th July 2008. Terms and conditions apply.
Winners will be sent the picnic blanket within 15 working days from the closing date.
Take a look at our picnic spots page for inspiration on where you could use your blanket.
Good luck and have a great summer!

How many bloody blankets do you need?
maybe because they are so tiny she wants to win a few to stitch together to make a big blanket!!
It states they are 150mm x 200mm, but isn't that 15cm x 20 cm????? ie barbie dolls size????
do you think they have got it wrong?? as you couldn't very well have a picnic blanket on that0 -

She might have a very, very, big bum; although, looking at the photo, she looks like a slim ar*e to me.
