We had ours sealed at our last house and regretted it. The drive looked permanently wet and it became quite slippy in the rain. It looked artificial and looked terrible as the seal wore off.
There's a driveway near where I work that has been done in indian stone. Sadly they've use a yellow additive to the mortar between the flags, then sealed it. The thing looks like its made of plastic now. I had my driveway done a year ago, and it looks fine now - just a few tiny weeds here and there that I just pull out. I'll probably need to clean it in a couple more years.
