Not sure, the only reason I know is if your feedback score is less than 5 (or less than 10 if paypal is not offered)

You haven't been negged recently have you?

With auction & BIN, yes the BIN option disappears as soon as a bid is placed (or reserve met if you have one of them too)

Note, auction & BIN costs more to list than just BIN

You could always set the start price to the same as the BIN - but that means higher listing fees too

    Perhaps wait for further advice?

I've had trouble listing multiple items on a BIN - says it doesn't allow BIN on multiple items - despite I've purchased multiples on a BIN recently!!!

To sell multiple items in your listing with Buy It Now, you must either
    • Be a member of the eBay community for 14 days or longer as well as have a feedback score of 20 or greater, or,
    • Have Direct Debit on file for payment of eBay fees (this may take up to 19 days and is not available to eBay.ie sellers), or,
    • If you have a PayPal account, you need to have a minimum feedback score of 10 and accept PayPal as a payment method.
    • Sellers must list a minimum opening bid of at least £0.99.

Don't know if this helps, perhaps just another ebay glitch similar to what the OP found?

Probably best not to state a BIN price in the item description as any BIN option disappears as soon as a bid is placed.
So either accept this, or don't offer both a BIN and auction when listing. If you are happy to accept a fixed price, just list it as a BIN only (but it might not sell)

As regards the person who wants to now accept the orginal BIN offer, advise them that, in accordance with the way ebay works, the item is no longer available as a BIN since a bid has been placed. Perhaps go onto suggest they may like to bid their best price in the auction, who knows, they might bag themselves a bargain and as the item is ending today anyway, there'll be no delay in sending the item (once payment is received from the winner)

Just a thought..if you are using the new seller format you actually have to change the tab at the top to 'fixed price' otherwise it automatically defaults to auction with a BIN option.
