Talk Talk problem.

Hi.
On the 9th May I had my 3rd phone call from Talk Talk persuading me to take their free broadband & line rental.
At the moment I have their broadband paying £14.99 a month and BT line rental.
On the previous 2 occasions I refused and told them that I would be going to sky.
This time they offered me free connection, usually £30, a free wireless router, usually £30, line rental and free 100 inclusive minutes to mobiles for £16.39 per month.
I asked how long I would get this offer for and was told 18 months.
I looked at my online bill and they have charged me for the router and the connection. After complaining to them they said they will credit these amounts back to me. However they will not let me have the call plan I agreed to as this plan is normally £19.99 not £16.39.
I either have to pay the £19.99 for the mobile minutes or reduce my package to the £16.39. I feel I was misled by the sales person into agreeing to sign up to this but Talk Talk won't do anything about it.
Should I just accept this or complain some more.

Complain some more (that new law came into force this week making it a criminal offence to mis-sell like that).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Thanks.
When they continually tell you that they can't do anything you start to believe them.
The salesman gave me his name and direct line phone number in case I had any more questions, as I had plenty at the time, however he isn't answering when I call. I left a message asking him to call me back but he hasn't yet.

    Report them to Ofcom.

    See: http://www.ofcom.org.uk/complain/landline/slamming/

"If you were given false or misleading information by a phone company to convince you to switch telephone supplier it is possible the company has mis-sold you their service. Additionally if you have received a bill from a company you haven’t signed up to, it’s possible you’ve been “slammed”. In other words, the new company has switched your account without first obtaining your permission.
Please help us take action by completing our complaint form, where you can tell us what has happened. It’s important that you give as much information as possible."
