Tesco-Old Mobiles=Clubcard Pts+£s>Age Concern

Tesco's Leaflet stand contains bright green plastic envelopes(size of film developing ones). Recycle an old working mobile and receive 300 Clubcardpoints, non-working gives 50. Age Concern receives a £1 donation per phone. Further, 50 people monthly will enter a draw for a further 1000 points. Closing date: 31 Decemeber 2005.
Promotion began in March;maybe details have been long knownto MSers, but these envelopes have not been in any Tesco I've visited until now.

Last few times that i've asked in store for these envelopes they always say they've run out. I'v had an old phone for recycling for ages.

how old can the phone be? i have areally old brick but it still works . i unearthed it in one of the cupboards

I sent one off ages ago and have not had the points yet (also sent cartridges and no points yet)

i have sent off 16 lexmark ink carts and have not got any points added to my total either i sent them off in june.

I sent a mobile phone in about five months ago and have yet to receive any points. Was in good working order but was old.

It took about 12 months for my Mum to get her points added when she sent her old phone in, make sure you get either proof of postage on them or Recorderd Delivery (you can add this onto a freepost envelope)

Sent 3 working phones in August and received the points about a month later - I used a seperate clubcard to make them easier to track

My local Tesco (Redcar) said they have never had phone recycling bags, and they dont expect to get them.

I use this site to recycle carts - i do it for our PTFA in school but you can have the payments made out to anyone you choose (yourself!)

They pay good mioney for modern HP & Lexmark

Takes a couple of months for them to pay up tho
